What we do
Windward Distribution operates as the downstream logistics arm for medical and healthcare goods moving into hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and in-country distributor networks. That work covers import and customs coordination, cold chain and controlled handling, warehousing and inventory, and last-mile delivery. [USVI registration number: to confirm].
What we do not do
We do not source medical devices or healthcare products, do not evaluate suppliers or manufacturers, and do not make product selection or purchasing decisions on a client's behalf. Those functions sit with the client's own procurement, regulatory, and clinical teams. Our role begins once product is ready to move and ends when it has been delivered and signed for at its destination.
Keeping that line clear is a deliberate choice, not an oversight. A logistics operator that also had a hand in sourcing or selecting the product it moves would carry a conflict of interest that a client cannot easily see from the outside. We stay on one side of that line: movement, custody, and delivery.
Why the US Virgin Islands
As a US territory, the US Virgin Islands gives Windward Distribution a US legal and business framework while sitting inside the Caribbean logistics corridor that connects US, Latin American, and Caribbean healthcare supply lines. The name draws on the same idea the jurisdiction does: windward is the direction facing into the wind, moving forward under it rather than being pushed by it. That is the posture we take toward every shipment we take custody of.
Where we are
Windward Distribution is in the process of establishing its physical operating base, including warehousing space and its carrier and customs broker network, in the Virgin Islands and the wider Caribbean and US corridor it will serve. [Warehouse location: to confirm]. We are building the company's operations to match the standard this page describes, not claiming a footprint we do not yet have.
How we work with clients
Each engagement starts with a review of what the client needs moved, how often, and under what conditions. From that review we put together a shipment plan covering documentation, handling, storage where it is needed, and delivery scheduling, agreed with the client before the first shipment moves. [Point of contact and account structure: to confirm].
